We are looking for Postdoc / PhD / Research Assistant to join Prof Chen Xiaoyuan's group

Prof. Xiaoyuan (Shawn) Chen received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Idaho (1999). After two postdocs at Syracuse University and Washington University in St. Louis, he started his Assistant Professorship in 2002 and joined Stanford in 2004. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. He then moved to NIH in 2009 and became a Senior Investigator and Chief of the Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine (LOMIN) at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB-NIH). He is currently Nasrat Muzayyin Professor in Medicine and Technology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Faculty of Engineering, National University of Singapore. Dr. Chen has published over 850 peer-reviewed papers (e.g. Nat. Nanotechnol.; Nat. Rev. Mater.; Nat. Rev. Clin. Oncol.; Nat. Biomed. Eng.; Nat. Commun.; Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U S A; Adv. Mater.; J. Am. Chem. Soc.; Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.) (H-index: 183, total citations > 120,000 based on google scholar, ranked No. 4 in Singapore). Some research outcomes have been translated and entered clinical trials. He is the founding editor of journal “Theranostics” (IF = 11.6). He was elected as AIMBE Fellow (2017) and SNMMI Fellow (2020), received SNMMI Michael J. Welch Award (2019), ACS Bioconjugate Chemistry Lecturer Award (2016), NIH Director’s Award (2014), NIBIB Mentor Award (2012). He was indicted as a member of the Advanced Materials Hall of Fame (2023). He is also the Past President of Chinese-American Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (CASNMMI), Past President of the Radiopharmaceutical Science Council (RPSC), Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), and Past President of the Chinese American Society of Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology (CASNN).

Assistant / Associate / Full Professor Positions:

We are pleased to announce that National University of Singapore (NUS) has opened a broad area search in translational theranostics. We have several full-time positions open at the Research Fellow (with potential to be promoted to faculty), Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels and will be appointed in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology.

Postdoctoral Fellow Positions:

The TNT Lab is constantly looking for talented postdoctoral candidates. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or M.D. (preferably in chemistry, material science, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, radiology or biomedical engineering) with previous experience in designing research projects. A detailed knowledge of molecular imaging probes and/or nanomedicine is mandatory. Ability to design and perform scientific work independently and collaboratively is a must, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in any of the following areas will be considered: chemistry and radiochemistry, biomaterials, nanomedicine, immunology, molecular imaging, theranostics and translational research. Background in any aspect of mRNA design/delivery is a plus. Motivation and drive to work hard and learn new skills are most important.
